WELCOME!
to the
Thoroughbred Limited 2015
MCR Convention Site

With Charlie Getz as our banquet speaker, great clinics and tours, a super hotel facility at a great price and laid-back Southern Hospitality,  we can assure you that you’ll have a good time, and return home relaxed but full of enthusiasm and new ideas.

This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your spouse along to enjoy our beautiful city.  Lexington is both classic and contemporary; Southern yet worldly; elegant but approachable. Come discover an extraordinary cuisine scene, a compact and vibrant downtown, thriving arts and a legendary landscape. We are planning some incredible events for your spouses to enjoy their stay here with you,  Y'all come.

There's so much to enjoy, and spring is so beautiful in Kentucky, you might want to consider taking advantage of the hotel's low rates 3 days before and after the convention, and make this a family vacation in addition to the convention.

A QUICK LUNCHTIME RAILFAN ADVENTURE
Want something really different? How about getting together with a few buddies and your camera, and check out our on-line Norfolk Southern traffic monitor at the registration desk to see what's coming along their double-track line at Virginia Avenue.

Then drive a few blocks in towards town from the hotel on South Broadway Street. Approaching Virginia Avenue, you'll find several fast food restaurants and plenty of parking. After a quick lunch, walk down to Virginia Avenue, turn right and continue to the Virginia Avenue bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks. Get a few good live action shots, and head back to the hotel in time for the next clinic or tour.

BOURBON COOKING CLINIC
On Friday evening, we plan to have a bourbon based cooking clinic hosted by the Convention as a free clinic for all registered guests. The clinic will be presented by the renowned hotel chef, Micheal, and will teach our guests about the ambiance of bourbon based fine food with an emphasis on deserts and cocktails. The clinic will be presented from 6:30 to 9:00pm in the Lafayette Room (across from the pool) at the Convention hotel, The Campbell House.

LIKE GOLF?
Bring your clubs! The Picadome public course is directly behind the hotel, and offers a fully stocked golf shop, swimming pool, and grill. It is a challenging old style course with small undulating greens. Tree lined fairways with tight landing areas.  Picadome is open year-round except for Christmas Day. The course opens for play 7:30 am until dusk. Tee times are reserved seven days in advance.
