Bluegrass Scenic Railroad and Museum in Versailles: Includes lunch, a tour and train ride. Museum personnel will be on hand to answer questions as you view the facilities, including the museum, depot and locomotives, including the cabs. Box lunch will be provided. You will need to drive about 25 minutes from the hotel. Carpooling is encouraged. Directions will be provided. TOUR & MUSEUM Friday 11:30- 4:00 (There is time to go on TTI tour, get back to hotel and drive to this tour and get lunch and ride the train then tour the museum.) LUNCH - 12:30 to 1:30, TRAIN RIDE - 1:30 to 3:30. This is an optional extra cost activity. Cost is $25.00
Norfolk Southern Intermodel Yard at Toyota in Georgetown: TOUR: Saturday -8:00 to Noon Terminal personnel will be on hand to explain operations and answer questions as you view the facilities. Heavenly Hilltop Railroad 7.5" gauge, Ride-On, layout in Stamping Ground , KY. TOUR: Saturday - Noon to 5:30. (There is time to go on NS tour, get back to hotel and drive to this tour and have plenty of time to ride trains.) This live steam layout features 4800' of track, a 180' S-curve trestle 22' high, and a 100' tunnel. Abundant locomotives and rolling stock are provided by the owner and several other participants in the layout.Check out the videos: General Trestle and pictures: Limit 50. You will need to drive about an hour from the hotel. Directions will be provided. Carpooling is encouraged. This is an outdoor activity in rough terrain so appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed toe, footwear is advised. You will be required to sign a liability release. You may want to consider bringing drinks or snacks. This is an optional extra cost activity. Cost is $15.00

Our farm tour will be at the Darby Dan Farm. The farm, dating back to the beginning of the twentieth century, was founded by Colonel E.R.Bradley and was then named Idle Hour. He produced four Kentucky Derby winners during his development of the farm. After the Colonel’s death, the core property was purchased by John Galbreath and he re-named the farm to Darby Dan. He has had Kentucky Derby winners, English Derby winners, and Breeder Cup winners, among many other wins.
Galbreath’s grandson, John Phillips now carries on in the family namesake and remains committed to the heritage. He continues to produce world-class performers, currently home to Thoroughbred greats such as Shackleford and Dialed In. The group will tour the 1823 antebellum home and see the fabulous trophy room, and then learn the ins and outs of raising, breeding and training. thoroughbreds.
On the way to Darby Dan, you will roll by miles of black and white fences, through spectacular Thoroughbred Horse Country, as you see beautiful horse barns, and the famed hoofed residents that make Lexington the unmatched Horse Capital of the World.
